Broken English Films ia an independent movie company based in Vancouver, British Columbia that specializes in exceptional movies or films (depending on which term you prefer to use). Our main emphasis is a good story that makes an impact on it's viewer, hopefully more so than just a care free chuckle or passing whince. The aim of our films are to create an emotional response, and a conversation about the subject.
It's often hard for a lot of us to pinpoint when we first experienced a film fully. Maybe it was when you were a child, wearing clothing which you didn't like that your parents had chosen, and you were sitting in front of the television watching a film. The story grabbed you, possibly because it was a subject that appealed, perhaps because it was such a well created fantasy that you couldn't help but be drawn in. Either way, you watched that film and it made an impact, it made you think. It made you wonder. That's why Broken English Films exists.
No, not to make children's movies that help them deal with watching movies in clothing they dislike, but to create films that make people assess and wonder.
